Description
Rotterdam pop-punk band After Elmer says goodbye with one final hometown show at Rotown.
After eight years of catchy hooks, heavy riffs and energetic live shows, the band is calling it a day. Their sound takes the melodic pop-punk of the 2000s and gives it a contemporary edge, combining big choruses with lyrics that look beyond the usual broken hearts and teenage drama.
Farewell EP Are You Happy Yet? tackles jealousy, other people’s expectations, disguised criticism and the constant stream of advice and distractions coming through our phones. At Rotown, the songs get one last outing as After Elmer brings its time in the Rotterdam music scene to a close.
IVYVOX opens the evening with high-energy pop-punk packed with catchy hooks and plenty of 2000s nostalgia. The band previously appeared at Popronde and became a crowd favourite during the Pinguin Radio Showcases at ESNS.
