Description

Rotterdam comedy venue Club Haug moves from the Boompjes to the stage of Oude Luxor for two nights of stand-up comedy. Best of Stand-up XL brings comedians who normally perform in the intimate club setting to one of the city’s major theatres.

Club Haug has become an important home for national and international stand-up comedy in the Netherlands. Established performers use the venue to test new material, while emerging comedians are given room to develop their style and connect with audiences.

Each evening features a different line-up, moving from sharp observations and relatable stories to unexpected perspectives and quick audience interaction. The names will be announced closer to the performances.

The Oude Luxor Theater, originally opened in 1917, is a historic landmark in the heart of Rotterdam. With its classic theater ambiance, it has been a beloved venue for over a century, hosting legendary cabaret performances, stand-up comedy, plays, and intimate musical productions. Despite being severely damaged during World War II, the theater was restored and remains an essential part of Rotterdam’s cultural scene. Seating around 900 guests, the Oude Luxor is cherished for its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere, attracting both established and up-and-coming artists.
