Bas van Holt: release show

Bas van Holt comes to Het Theehuis in Rotterdam-Noord for a release show in a fittingly natural setting. After ten years of touring, writing and recording as frontman of roots rock band Dawn Brothers, the Rotterdam musician now steps into his own indiefolk project.

His first singles are already out, with a debut album on the way. The sound should appeal to fans of Silver Jews, Wilco, Bill Callahan and Paul McCartney: melodic, thoughtful and slightly offbeat, with room for warmth and character.

Van Holt also recently marked ten years of Dawn Brothers with Stayin’ Out Late, a sold-out festival featuring T-99, Tim Knol & The Blue Grass Boogiemen and Eno Aronds & David Gram. This release show brings things back to a smaller, more intimate Rotterdam setting.
