Shutdown + Fatal Move + From The Heart + SPEAR

New York hardcore veterans Shutdown headline a packed night at De Beuk in Barendrecht as part of Baroeg on Tour. Fatal Move, From The Heart and SPEAR complete a line-up rooted in old-school hardcore, heavy riffs and direct live energy.

Shutdown started in 1994, when the band members were around 15 years old. Inspired by the positive attitude and musical style of Gorilla Biscuits, the group became part of the New York hardcore scene without adopting the macho posturing often associated with the genre.

More than three decades later, the line-up may be older and wiser, but the intensity remains. Their latest EP, By Your Side, shows that Shutdown’s old-school sound is still very much alive.

Belgian hardcore band Fatal Move and Dutch acts From The Heart and SPEAR open the evening, making this a strong bill for fans of Gorilla Biscuits, Warzone and Ensign.
