De Kade, an Asian & Surinamese restaurant located in Rotterdam's Oude Westen neighbourhood, is a good choice for a quick and delicious meal in the heart of the city centre.
Vibe
The restaurant staff is very friendly and the waiting time (for service and food) is very short. It's a good place to grab lunch or dinner when spending a day in the city.

Menu
De Kade serves Asian and Surinamese food. There's a takeaway counter as well as a seating area and they offer sandwiches as well as full meals. However, what makes it a great choice for just about everybody is the fact that they also take into account allergies, gluten intolerances etc. There's a vegetarian menu which also includes meat alternatives such as vegan chicken, vegan babi pangang and even vegan duck.

I had the broccoli and beef (€13) and paid extra (€2,50) for the brown fried rice (white rice is free).

Whenever I have Asian food with beer, I ask for Tsingtao. It's a standard pale lager made with malt, hops and a hint of rice. I find the taste very light and refreshing.
