Buurman & Buurman come to Oude Luxor with Bouwen een feestje, a cheerful family show celebrating their 50th anniversary. The plan is simple: throw a big birthday party. Naturally, that plan does not stay simple for very long.

Before the cake can be served, the neighbours decide the whole house needs a makeover. Tools come out of the shed, decorations go up and every sensible idea seems to become slightly less sensible within seconds. The drill behaves strangely, the balloons pop and the confetti ends up everywhere.

Still, Buurman & Buurman keep the party mood alive with songs, slapstick and plenty of cheerful chaos. Expect a playful theatre outing for young children and families, full of familiar humour and the kind of construction work that probably should not pass any safety inspection.
