Eric Vloeimans and Egbert Derix bring Gardens of Abundance to Trompenburg Tuinen & Arboretum for a special North Sea Round Town concert. The performance takes place on the newly renovated stage in one of Rotterdam’s most serene green settings.

Vloeimans is one of the Netherlands’ most celebrated trumpeters and an Edison Award winner. In pianist Egbert Derix, he has found a musical partner who gives him room to explore. Together, they move without a strict plan, combining improvisation with original compositions. The result is a conversation between trumpet and piano that can be tender, quiet, playful and intense.

Their recent double album Gardens of Abundance forms the starting point for the concert. Expect a morning performance full of subtle shifts, melodic surprises and music that feels perfectly at home among the trees.
