Description

Mamas Gun brings its warm, modern soul sound to Annabel in Rotterdam, with a concert built around groove, feel and tight band chemistry. Led by Andy Platts, also known from Young Gun Silver Fox, the UK group blends soul, pop, funk and jazz into a laidback but polished live sound.

The band arrives with the new album DIG!, a record described as more analogue and direct, with plenty of room for groove and musicianship. Their current sound is also carried by the single Food For The Flames, while earlier favourites such as Pots of Gold, This Is the Day and London Girls give a good sense of their sunny, melodic style. For anyone into Young Gun Silver Fox, Jamiroquai, Bill Withers or Mayer Hawthorne, this should sit very comfortably in the sweet spot.
