Live Hard Or Die fest: Sheer Terror + Skroetbalg + Lies! + Megalomaniacs + Angles Morts

Baroeg hosts Live Hard Or Die fest with a line-up built around hardcore, punk and extreme heaviness, led by New York veterans Sheer Terror. The bill also includes Skroetbalg, Lies!, Megalomaniacs and Angles Morts, making this Rotterdam date feel less like a standard gig and more like a full-blown scene gathering for anyone who likes their music raw, confrontational and loud.

Sheer Terror first emerged in 1984, when New York was still associated with grit, crime and a rough-edged hardcore underground. Fronted by Paul Bearer, the band carved out a sound that was as blunt and ugly as the city around it, helping shape a lineage that would go on to influence groups from Merauder to Hatebreed. Despite that reach, Sheer Terror has always remained something of a cult name rather than a polished institution, which is precisely why the band still means so much to committed hardcore audiences. Their earlier Rotterdam appearances have clearly left a mark, and after a sold-out show at De Beuk last year, this return to Baroeg is likely to draw serious attention.
