Mister and Mississippi

After seven years away, Mister and Mississippi returns to the stage with an intimate concert at LantarenVenster in Rotterdam. The Dutch band’s reappearance carries the feeling of a real reunion, shaped less by nostalgia than by the sense that the music was never fully left behind.

The group parted ways in 2018, not out of conflict but out of a need for space to grow, both as musicians and as people. That distance, however, did not become a final goodbye. What remained strongest was the pull of small, attentive concert rooms where every note matters and silence can speak just as loudly as the songs themselves. That atmosphere suits their sound well: dreamy indie folk with echoes of Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes, built on bright guitars, close harmonies and slowly unfolding tension.

This return show promises a mix of beloved songs and new work, with Maxime Barlag, Tom Broshuis, Danny van Tiggele and Samgar Lemüel Jacobs back together on stage.
