Pianist Hayato Sumino joins for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, while the orchestra begins with Ravel’s hypnotic Boléro and Adams’s exhilarating Short Ride in a Fast Machine, finishing with Stravinsky’s groundbreaking Le Sacre du Printemps, played entirely from memory.
