Description

Bumba is back in Rotterdam with a toddler-friendly circus show that keeps things bright, playful, and gently paced, as Bumbina comes to visit. At Oude Luxor, the familiar circus crew returns for a performance built around singing, dancing, and simple audience joy, with extra care taken to make the experience comfortable for very young children.

In the story, Bumba and Bumbalu are a little nervous because their friend Bumbina is coming along, and of course she does not want to miss the fun. The show invites little ones to join in with their favourite circus friends, including Tumbi, Carla, Babaki and Kiwi, as they dance, play, and try their tricks together. After the performance, children get a chance to hug Bumba and take a photo, turning it into a proper first-theatre memory you can actually keep.

The Oude Luxor Theater, originally opened in 1917, is a historic landmark in the heart of Rotterdam. With its classic theater ambiance, it has been a beloved venue for over a century, hosting legendary cabaret performances, stand-up comedy, plays, and intimate musical productions. Despite being severely damaged during World War II, the theater was restored and remains an essential part of Rotterdam’s cultural scene. Seating around 900 guests, the Oude Luxor is cherished for its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere, attracting both established and up-and-coming artists.
