Tim O’Brien & Jan Fabricius: Paper flowers

Americana songwriter Tim O’Brien brings a stripped-back evening of bluegrass, folk and country storytelling to Rotterdam, joined by Jan Fabricius for a show built around their 2025 duo album Paper Flowers. O’Brien has been a fixture in the contemporary roots scene for decades, carving out a solo career after the break-up of his bluegrass band Hot Rize, and building a catalogue of more than twenty albums that sits comfortably between traditional craft and modern songwriting.

The listing also points to O’Brien’s wider reach as a writer, with songs recorded by artists such as Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks.
