Description

Clean Pete’s Kerstshow returns to Rotterdam with an extravagant celebration of Christmas music, unexpected collaborations and plenty of theatrical surprises. After sold-out editions at LantarenVenster, sisters Loes and Renée Wijnhoven bring their festive spectacle to the larger Theater Rotterdam.

The show grew out of Clean Pete’s acclaimed Christmas album *Gloria* and has developed into a musical revue where classical music, rock, philosophical reflections, humour and heartfelt moments all come together. A live band, choir and dancers join the sisters for an evening that embraces both the joyful and more complicated sides of Christmas.

**This year's special guests include Elmer, Joost Oomen, harpist Remy van Kesteren, Jeanne from WIES and Mart Martinus.** The Christmas band features Anne Soldaat, Fabian Kraal, Danny van Tiggele and Marie-Louise de Jong, alongside Clean Pete’s Projectkoor and dance group Terza.

Expect a Christmas concert that is playful, emotional and anything but conventional.

Theater Rotterdam is a prominent cultural institution in the Netherlands, known for its diverse and innovative performing arts programming. Formed in 2017 through the merger of several local theater companies, including the Rotterdamse Schouwburg and RO Theater, it serves as both a producing and presenting venue. The theater showcases a wide array of performances, from contemporary dance and drama to international productions, aiming to engage a broad audience. Notably, Theater Rotterdam offers performances accessible to non-Dutch speakers, featuring dance pieces and plays in English or with subtitles.

The main venue, known as TR Schouwburg, is located at Schouwburgplein 25 in the heart of Rotterdam. Designed by architect Wim Quist and opened in 1988, the building features multiple performance spaces, including a large auditorium with seating for 879 attendees.
