Nederlands philharmonisch orkest with Lorenzo Viotti and Laurens Symfonisch

Description

Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, the “Resurrection”, lands in de Doelen as conductor Lorenzo Viotti returns to lead the Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest in one of the repertoire’s biggest existential statements. The work moves between hushed, searching passages and full orchestral eruptions, building towards a final choral movement that turns the concert hall into something closer to a shared reckoning. Joining the orchestra is Laurens Symfonisch, with soloists Nikola Hillebrand (soprano) and Marina Viotti (mezzo-soprano), bringing the vocal forces that Mahler’s closing vision demands.
