Description
Ocean in Concert transforms RTM Stage in Rotterdam into an underwater world, as a majestic nature film is shown on the big screen with a symphony orchestra and choir performing Steven Price’s film score live. Guided by the iconic voice of Sir David Attenborough, the audience is taken on a journey through coral reefs, mysterious depths and the vast life of the open ocean, balancing awe-inspiring beauty with the urgent reality of overfishing, coral bleaching and climate pressure. Despite the threats, the film carries a note of optimism, stressing how a healthy ocean is essential for a stable, thriving planet.
The concert is presented as a tribute to Attenborough’s life’s work, created in collaboration with leading film and nature partners. Building on the acclaim for the new cinema release Ocean with David Attenborough, this live version adds an extra layer of intensity, as the music swells in the room at the same moment the images unfold on screen.
