Mert Demir – live in Rotterdam

Turkish singer and songwriter Mert Demir brings his atmospheric blend of R&B, bedroom pop and arabesque influences to the Grote Zaal of de Doelen in Rotterdam. Known in Istanbul for his distinctive vocals and melancholic yet rhythmic songs, Demir has built a strong following with tracks such as “Ateşe Düştüm”, “Cehennemin Dibi” and “Antidepresan”, which have found their way onto Turkish charts and streaming playlists. 

In this Rotterdam concert, Demir presents a set that looks back and forward at the same time. Audiences can expect live versions of his best-known songs alongside new material from an upcoming album planned for spring 2025. With live band, electronic textures and a focus on mood and storytelling, the show invites listeners into the contemporary new-wave Anatolian sound currently reshaping Turkey’s pop and R&B scene, now landing for one night in the heart of the city at de Doelen.
