Description

The Rotterdam concert brings percussionist Sjahin During’s cross-cultural project to LantarenVenster on the Wilhelminapier. Expect Anatolian, Iranian and Indian timbres woven with electronics and improvisation: kamanche, tanbur, cello, trumpet and a deep percussion core, expanded on this date by Iranian guests Niusha Barimani and Saghar Khadem. The result is a hypnotic, filmic sound world that bridges Orient and Occident in a seated setting.
