German indie pop band Rikas might hail from Stuttgart, but their music feels like it was born under the Californian sun. With bright melodies and lush harmonies reminiscent of The Beach Boys, their sound radiates pure joy.

The four childhood friends have been making music together since their teenage years. Their journey began in 2014, when they grabbed their guitars and a snare drum and travelled across Europe, busking on the streets. Without microphones, they learned to use their voices to make whole streets sing along — a skill that still defines their infectious live energy and signature vocal blend.

What began as street performances has grown into more than 300 shows across Europe. Rikas have performed at major festivals like Fusion Festival and MS Dockville in Hamburg, and have supported artists including Milky Chance, Alt-J and Alice Phoebe Lou. Their lively shows, filled with smiles and sing-alongs, have earned them a loyal following.

What makes Rikas stand out is their boundless energy and the way they turn every show into a celebration. As the band themselves put it: anyone who comes to a Rikas concert leaves with a smile.
