Description

Le Motat, named after a creature from the night moth family, is an act for night owls and restless wanderers. Somewhere between Spinvis, André Hazes, and Goldband, he pens and produces indie anthems and tearjerkers—songs that are as poetic as they are grounded. He does not sing in French, but in the universal language of love.

Expect absurdist lyrics, sing-along moments, and a touch of chaos. After warming you up with a tongue-in-cheek track about Karton, he pulls you in with songs like De Mat, 1 Uurtje Verliefd, and Naar de Klote. His upcoming album Het Moment Suprême explores themes of escapism, desire, heartbreak, and the eternal search for connection—an act for lost sons, daughters, X’s, aliens, and all late-night dreamers.
