Two of Europe’s foremost jazz musicians—pianist Enrico Pieranunzi and trumpeter Bert Joris—join forces with the West Coast Big Band for a night of refined, lyrical, and layered compositions. Rather than showcasing technical fireworks, the duo’s collaboration focuses on musical synergy, offering a warm and complex experience that remains accessible to a broad audience.

Both artists boast impressive legacies: Pieranunzi (Rome, 1949) and Joris (Antwerp, 1957) have performed with jazz greats such as Clark Terry, Chet Baker, Joshua Redman, and Hank Jones. Their work has earned them numerous awards and critical acclaim.

Under the direction of Nils van Haften, the West Coast Big Band brings these compositions to life with a rich, dynamic sound. Known for their award-winning albums and appearances at international festivals, the band has long established itself as a leading force in Dutch jazz.
