Soulful grooves from Melbourne’s finest return to LantarenVenster

On Friday 14 November 2025, Melbourne-based band The Meltdown bring their warm blend of southern soul, groove and retro songwriting back to Rotterdam. With echoes of Stax, Motown and the Nashville tradition, their sound is anchored by the powerful and emotive voice of Simon Burke, laid-back grooves and radiant horn arrangements.

Following the success of their self-titled debut in 2017 and their acclaimed second record It’s A Long Road (2022), The Meltdown are back on tour with a new album on the way. Expect tight soul arrangements, rich textures and that rare magic where every note counts.

This is a live show that promises an intimate yet electrifying atmosphere—the kind of night where the music wraps around the room and gets every soul moving.
