Cuban bass virtuoso and singer Alain Pérez brings an evening of pure groove, rhythm, and Cuban warmth to LantarenVenster on Thursday 17 July 2025. A phenomenon across the salsa, Latin jazz, and flamenco scenes, Pérez performs surrounded by top musicians from Cuba.

Born in Manaca Iznaga near Trinidad, Cuba, Pérez grew up immersed in Cuban folk music, flamenco, and jazz. His 20-year journey has seen him blossom into a world-class composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. He’s shared stages with legends like Paco de Lucía, Chucho Valdés, and Issac Delgado, and produced for stars such as Estrella Morente and Celia Cruz.

A multiple Latin Grammy nominee, Pérez won the Best Traditional Tropical Album award in 2021. His virtuosity, versatility, and undeniable charisma have earned him a loyal global fanbase.
