50 Years The Last Waltz – Dawn Brothers & Friends

Description

A once‑in‑a‑generation tribute to The Band

Fifty years after The Band’s legendary farewell concert at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom, the Rotterdam roots outfit Dawn Brothers brings The Last Waltz to Dutch theatres. With only thirteen dates, the tour offers a rare chance to experience the music live.
The Dawn Brothers’ raw, harmony‑rich sound draws deeply on folk‑rock and Americana traditions, making them ideal torch‑bearers for this tribute.
For the Rotterdam performance they are joined by guest stars: soul singer Michelle David, songwriter Tim Knol, Cato van Dijck (My Baby), poet Nico Dijkshoorn, blues guitarist Ian Siegal, drummer/singer Darryl Ciggaar, yé‑yé pop icon Fleur Elman and guitarist Pablo van de Poel (DeWolff), among others.
The result is a one‑off celebration of a concert immortalised by Martin Scorsese’s film and a cornerstone of Americana.
