Eddie 9V

Atlanta guitarist and singer Eddie 9V brings his gritty blend of southern rock, blues and soul to LantarenVenster.

Drawing inspiration from Howlin’ Wolf, Al Green and The Allman Brothers, Eddie 9V combines vintage blues with soul, rock, country and gospel. His raw guitar playing and powerful vocals give the music a distinctly old-school feel without turning it into a nostalgia act.

The Rotterdam show follows the release of Down Here, recorded in Nashville with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The album adds more southern soul and country influences to Eddie 9V’s blues foundation, while keeping the loose grooves and expressive guitar work that have become central to his live shows.

Listeners of The Teskey Brothers, Buddy Guy, The Black Keys and Marcus King should find plenty to enjoy here.
