Sathanas In Gloriam: Sabathan + Cirith Gorgor + Reinkaos

Sathanas In Gloriam returns to Baroeg with an old-school black metal line-up built around Sabathan, Cirith Gorgor and Dissection tribute Reinkaos.

Belgian band Sabathan replaces original headliner Unholy Craft and brings a direct connection to the formative years of European black metal. Frontman Lord Sabathan previously sang with Enthroned during the 1990s, and his current band revisits the speed, aggression and atmosphere of that era.

Dutch veterans Cirith Gorgor join with a set focused on their first two albums. Original vocalist Nimroth will make a guest appearance, bringing the performance particularly close to the band’s early years on the Dutch black metal circuit.

Opening the evening is Reinkaos, a tribute to Swedish black metal band Dissection. The group consists of experienced Dutch metal musicians and performs material from albums including The Somberlain, Storm of the Light’s Bane and Reinkaos. Their appearance also connects back to Dissection’s own Baroeg shows in 1996 and 2004.
