Nienke Leone

Rotterdam singer-songwriter Nienke Leone celebrates the release of her long-awaited debut album with a hometown show at Rotown.

Leone makes catchy Dutch-language pop built around personal and often strikingly honest stories. Before launching her own recording career, she was already writing music for other artists. Her credits include songs connected to Miss Montreal, Emma Heesters, Yves Berendse and Jet van der Steen, as well as the Gooische Vrouwen anthem Spijt is voor Later.

After releasing two EPs, including Wegwerpliefde in 2025, Leone is now preparing her first full-length album for April 2027. The Rotown concert serves as its official release show, bringing the new songs to the stage in the city where she is based.

Listeners of MEAU, Pommelien Thijs and Hannah Mae should find familiar ground in her combination of melodic pop and direct storytelling.
