Borstel Blèren

Borstel Blèren brings a giant sing-along party to Rotterdam Ahoy on 27 December, giving Christmas one final noisy send-off.

The concept comes from Dutch creators Rijk & Sjors and turns the venue into a huge karaoke-style party. The idea is simple: grab a toilet brush as your microphone and sing along as loudly as possible to guilty pleasures, familiar classics and party hits from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and today.

Expect plenty of audience interaction, humour, confetti and unapologetically loud group singing. The Christmas edition starts before the show itself, with a festive fair and free attractions opening from 18:45. Everyone receives a Borstel Blèren brush on arrival, and the suggested dress code is sparkle.

It is very much a Dutch-language experience, particularly because audience participation and singing along are central to the concept.
