Carmina Burana

Based on a collection of medieval poems, Carmina Burana was composed by Carl Orff in 1935-1936 and first performed in 1937 in the Frankfurt Opera. Since then, it has captivated audiences worldwide, with its grand, dramatic style leaving no listener untouched.

The most famous section, "O Fortuna", which opens and closes the work, has become one of the most recognizable pieces in classical music history.

These secular and Latin verses, performed by choirs and soloists, explore themes of life and death, fate, and above all—love. With a cast of nearly 100 performers, this production captures the sensuality and power of the original work while blending music, movement, and poetry into an unforgettable theatrical experience.
