Charlie Cunningham: Lines 10th anniversary

British singer-songwriter Charlie Cunningham comes to Rotterdam’s Arminius for a special concert marking the tenth anniversary of his debut album Lines.

Cunningham is known for warm, melancholic folk built around a relaxed vocal style and highly distinctive, percussive guitar playing. His time living in Seville left a lasting mark on his music, with subtle flamenco influences woven into his acoustic sound.

Released in 2017, Lines established Cunningham internationally and remains a defining album in his catalogue. For this anniversary performance, he revisits the record with the addition of strings, giving the songs extra depth in the intimate setting of Arminius.

Listeners of Fink, José González, Nick Mulvey and RY X should find plenty to appreciate in Cunningham’s understated songwriting and intricate guitar work.
