Bach Collegium Japan and conductor Masato Suzuki perform all six of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos during one afternoon at de Doelen.
The internationally acclaimed ensemble is known for its transparent sound, energy and stylistic precision. Across the six concertos, Bach explores different combinations of instruments, shifting the musical focus between soloists and the wider ensemble.
Virtuosic passages, rhythmic momentum and finely balanced musical dialogue make the Brandenburg Concertos one of the defining achievements of Baroque orchestral music.
