Andrea Vanzo

Italian pianist and composer Andrea Vanzo comes to De Doelen with intimate, emotionally charged neo-classical piano music. From his home base in the hills around Bologna, Vanzo creates cinematic pieces where modern classical music and subtle pop influences meet.

Nature plays a central role in his work. The sound of wind, flowing water and the quiet of sunrise all feed into music that captures feelings words often cannot reach. His compositions are warm, reflective and built around a strong sense of atmosphere.

Vanzo reached a wider international audience during the pandemic, when he began sharing his music on social media. Since then, he has grown into one of the most recognisable names in contemporary neo-classical piano, with more than one million Instagram followers. His dreamy version of Song of Storms from The Legend of Zelda also brought his music to new listeners across the world.

Following Intimacy Vol. 1, Vanzo released Intimacy Vol. 2 in 2025. Both albums translate his love of nature, stillness and human emotion into delicate piano music. Live, these pieces are performed with the same closeness in which they were created: inward-looking, cinematic and quietly moving.
