Lavinia Meijer

Lavinia Meijer is one of the most versatile harpists of our time. She has collaborated with renowned composers such as Philip Glass (Koyaanisqatsi, The Hours) and Ludovico Einaudi (Intouchables, Black Swan) and has performed alongside artists like Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Laurie Anderson, Ólafur Arnalds, and Sufjan Stevens.

Inspired by the music of Philip Glass, whose work she has arranged with his approval, Meijer has helped bring harp music to a broader audience. Her albums have been released worldwide and received critical acclaim, earning two Edison Awards and achieving platinum status. Her solo recordings on Spotify have surpassed 100 million streams, placing her among the top classical artists globally.

For this performance, Meijer has curated a unique program featuring multi-instrumentalist Reyer Zwart, known for his work at Amsterdam Dance Event 2024. The setlist includes music by Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Lavinia Meijer, Wim Mertens, Radiohead, and Sufjan Stevens.

Reyer Zwart, performing on guitar, bass guitar, piano, and harp, has played alongside Daniël Lohues, Jacqueline Govaert, Stéphanie Struijk, Anne Soldaat, and Tim Knol. A long-time collaborator with Claudia de Breij, he has also been the musical director for Freek de Jonge since 2012.
