Min Taka

Description

Min Taka brings her indie, synth-pop and hyperpop sound to Grounds for a Rotterdam show that feels both intimate and ready to burst. With songs in Turkish and English, she moves between softness, electronic energy and pop ambition, while weaving Turkish influences into a sound that is very much her own.

Her stage name refers to the myth of a lost paradise, but Min Taka is quickly becoming a name to know in the Dutch pop scene. Inspired by artists such as Mitski, Caroline Polachek, Cocteau Twins and Charli XCX, she released the EP I Think We Should Just Move In Together in July 2025. The EP passed one million streams in a single week, while the title track Boston won Hit of the Year at the Rotterdam Music Awards. She also received an Edison Award nomination.

Since 2020, Min Taka has appeared at venues and festivals including Down The Rabbit Hole, ESNS, The Great Escape and Motel Mozaïque. Now she returns to her second home, Rotterdam, before setting her sights on a wider European audience. Dramatic? A little. Deserved? Also yes.
