LINA_ and Marco Mezquida bring O Fado to LantarenVenster, a striking dialogue between one of Portugal’s most acclaimed young fado voices and one of Spain’s most versatile pianist-composers. Together, they explore what happens when fado is gently lifted out of its traditional frame and given new space to breathe.

LINA_’s voice is sensual, dramatic and deeply expressive, while Mezquida’s piano responds with a fluidity that feels almost physical. Their programme includes classics such as Fado da Defesa and Gota d’Água, alongside original compositions and songs that stretch the edges of the genre.
