Punchlove

New York band Punchlove brings its dense, distorted take on shoegaze to V11 in Rotterdam. The group works with the genre’s familiar haze of layered guitars, reverb and volume, but pushes the sound into more fractured territory by folding in touches of indie rock, art rock, dream pop and noise. The result is heavy yet melodic, with songs that stay visible through the blur rather than disappearing inside it.

After a year of international touring and the release of the EP 0, Punchlove arrives in Rotterdam while building towards a second album. What sets the band apart is the way it adds digital textures and glitch-like effects to that classic wall of sound, creating something that feels suspended between a live band and an electronic act. For anyone drawn to DIIV, Slowdive or Alvvays, this should be a strong night for loud, immersive guitar music.
