True Loves

“Bring us the funk” is the message, and True Loves seem happy to oblige. The Seattle instrumental collective return to LantarenVenster after a sold-out show two years earlier, aiming straight for a night that feels like a sweaty, sunlit block party translated into a live room. Their thick funk and soul sound is described as the kind of music that makes you feel like you’re strolling through your favourite neighbourhood with the sun on your face, except here the groove is coming at full volume.

What began as a jam session in 2014 has grown into a worldwide phenomenon, helped along by a serious live reputation and millions of YouTube streams, a notable feat for an instrumental band. They’ve released two albums, Sunday Afternoon (2021) and Famous Last Words (2022), and recent singles include Good Weed and Red Wine and Dopus No. 1, both expected to hit hard through the LantarenVenster speakers.

This is a show with mostly standing room, plus limited balcony seating, and the two ticket types are sold separately.
