British soul favourite returns to Rotterdam with new music

Mica Millar is billed as one of the most distinctive voices in British soul, and she’s coming back to Rotterdam after a sold-out show in 2024. This time she brings fresh material, including the single A little bit of me, which is already out to listen to.

Her debut album Heaven knows helped cement her name in the soul world, with a sound shaped by soul, blues, gospel and jazz. The listing also notes the record was mastered at Abbey Road Studios, and that Millar writes, arranges and produces her music herself, touching on themes like spirituality, inequality, love and human nature. She has won Jazz FM UK’s Soul act of the year award, toured as a support act for artists such as Lionel Richie, Gregory Porter and Gladys Knight, and Jamie Cullum is mentioned as a fan.
