Description

Cinderella gets a high-tech makeover in Rotterdam as Ballet of Lights brings illuminated, glow-in-the-dark costumes and a compact cast of four dancers to de Doelen. The show re-tells the familiar fairytale through classical ballet, but with lighting effects woven into the choreography, so scenes and characters shift colour and mood in real time. Expect a family-friendly spectacle that leans on recognisable moments, the wicked stepsisters, the ballroom romance, and the midnight turning point, set to a soundtrack drawn from well-known classical composers.
