A world-class trio returns with spacious, melody-rich modern jazz. Jon Cowherd is best known for his long partnership with Brian Blade in the Fellowship Band and for work with Cassandra Wilson, Lizz Wright, Norah Jones and John Scofield. His album Pride and Joy was singled out by NPR and DownBeat as one of 2022’s standouts. Bassist Tony Scherr, a regular with Bill Frisell and Maria Schneider, brings warm, rhythmic lyricism, while Blade, four-time Grammy winner and anchor of the Wayne Shorter Quartet, remains one of the most sensitive and sought-after drummers of his generation. Together, they shape an intimate conversation built on touch, craft, and joy. The concert is fully seated at LantarenVenster.
