BlackBeach + Gespuys – EB&VLOED Tour

Amsterdam trio BlackBeach and Delft electro-pop duo Gespuys bring their joint EB&VLOED Tour to Rotterdam, filling Grounds on Pieter de Hoochweg with a night of high-tide synths and Dutch-language alt-pop. The double bill leans firmly into the dancefloor, with both acts using electronics, live instruments and strong visual presence to turn the venue into a small club stage rather than a seated concert setting.

BlackBeach was formed with the specific aim of playing alternative electronic dance music live. Drawing on punk and rock backgrounds, the three-piece builds tracks with multiple synths, drum machines and an electronic drum kit, moving from cinematic build-ups to full rave energy. Their fast 140 bpm beats and melodic synth lines give the show a restless, experimental feel that still lands as a coherent club set.

Gespuys, an electro-pop duo from Delft, switches to Dutch lyrics without losing intensity. Their songs pick apart outdated norms and everyday absurdity with sharp, poetic lines, set to solid beats, hypnotic synths and interlocking guitars. With tracks such as “Berend Botje”, “Inter-Minus-Net” and “Afgeleefd (Ik Ben Een Man)”, they invite the audience to dance while quietly addressing heavier themes. After a Popronde season that saw them booked more than thirty times and a follow-up show at Melkweg, the pair now bring that live momentum to Rotterdam.
