Yerai Cortés – Solo

Flamenco guitarist Yerai Cortés returns to Rotterdam with an intimate solo performance at LantarenVenster on Saturday 18 October 2025. Known for making his guitar sound like a complete orchestra, Cortés blends deep knowledge of the Gitano tradition with his own fresh, playful approach. His debut album La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés has earned high acclaim, even winning multiple Goya Awards.

Born in Alicante in 1995, Cortés is hailed as one of the leading talents of a new generation of flamenco guitarists. His unique soniquete (swing) infuses timeless traditions with vibrant rhythm and subtle silences. Beyond flamenco, he has shared the stage with jazz bassist Richard Bona and collaborated with Spanish pop star C. Tangana, showing the breadth of his artistry.

This special recital promises dazzling virtuosity and heartfelt improvisation, offering audiences the chance to experience flamenco guitar in its purest form.
