Prepare for a musical journey through two golden decades of pop, jazz and soul. Jong Metropole and acclaimed vocalist Lo van Gorp bring fresh life to the music of icons such as Sting, Steely Dan and Paul Simon, blending orchestral grandeur with groove and flair. Expect more than straightforward covers: this is a richly textured performance where the boundaries between genres dissolve, carried by the collective talent of Jong Metropole’s young musicians and Lo’s powerful voice.

Founded in 2015, Jong Metropole unites top students from Dutch conservatories under the guidance of the National Youth Orchestras of the Netherlands, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Metropole Orkest. For this concert at LantarenVenster, arranger, trumpeter and conductor Sam Gale leads the ensemble in celebration of Jong Metropole’s tenth anniversary year.
