Description

The all-female indie rock band The Buoys, hailing from Sydney, craft infectious melodies and sharp lyrics layered with gritty guitars and driving rhythms. Their music carves out a distinctive space where themes like self-doubt, curiosity, disappointment, and resilience come together. While their tracks can be as catchy as pure pop, they are steeped in raw power and sincerity, powered by unfiltered instrumentation and candid storytelling.

Over just a few years, the band released three EPs—including their breakout single Lie To Me Again, which landed at #85 in Triple J’s Hottest 100—and toured extensively across Australia, sharing stages with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg, The Dandy Warhols, IDLES, and Royal Blood. Their long-awaited debut album Lustre finally arrived in July 2024, cementing their place as a rising force in the international indie scene.
