Moroccan roots meet electronic defiance in this fearless reimagining of Aïta tradition.
Aïta Mon Amour fuses traditional string instruments and age-old lamentations with incisive electronics and feminist energy, creating a bold new wave in contemporary Arabic music. Led by Widad Mjama and Khalil Epi, the duo brings the poetic legacy of the Cheikhates into the now—channeling stories of love, sorrow, and resistance with vibrant stage presence and sonic innovation.
Inspired by Morocco's Abda region and the historical Aïta tradition, they blend ancestral power with modern beats to offer a mysterious and electrifying performance. Expect to be overwhelmed by haunting vocals, driving rhythms, and a message that transcends time.
