Kriolos & Kriolas in Concert

Cape Verdean music, dance and storytelling come together at Nieuwe Luxor Theater on Saturday 7 November 2026. Kriolos & Kriolas in Concert celebrates 75 years of Cape Verdean migration to the Netherlands, bringing generations together through music, family stories and shared cultural heritage.

The production features four artists representing different generations and styles of Cape Verdean music. Mayra Andrade brings her distinctive contemporary sound, while singer and composer Miri Lobo represents the country's rich musical traditions. Cremilda Medina, originally from Mindelo, performs music rooted in Cape Verdean culture and the Creole language. Completing the line-up is Dieg, whose music combines traditional influences with afrobeat and afropop.

More than a concert, Kriolos & Kriolas explores the experiences of Cape Verdean families and the connections between generations. Through live performances, dance and storytelling, the evening reflects on migration, identity and the cultural traditions that communities carry with them.

The event is produced by Voice Events BV and Sao Joao Baptista Rdam. Please note that parts of the performance are spoken in Cape Verdean.

Kriolos & Kriolas in Concert takes place at Nieuwe Luxor Theater, Posthumalaan 1, Rotterdam, on Saturday 7 November 2026 at 20:00. Tickets range from €41.50 to €49.50, excluding service charges.
