Iris Hond & Kamerata-Zuid play Einaudi

Description

Pianist Iris Hond joins Kamerata-Zuid for a concert centred on the music of Ludovico Einaudi, marking the ensemble’s tenth anniversary.

The programme revisits the successful collaboration between Hond and Kamerata-Zuid, with Einaudi’s music at its heart. Alongside his work, the concert includes compositions by Iris Hond herself and music by Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Hond has developed a strong connection with Einaudi’s repertoire, bringing her own phrasing and interpretation to his minimalist piano writing. The programme includes a complete performance of Einaudi’s Domino, with Hond and the ensemble moving between intimate piano passages and fuller orchestral textures.
