Sietepè

Gabriel Rios, Augusto Bracho and Ruben Samama bring their new collaborative project Sietepè to LantarenVenster, connecting Latin American songwriting with a contemporary singer-songwriter sound.

The project grew from Rios and Bracho’s shared fascination with Spanish-language music. After touring together, they joined forces with producer and multi-instrumentalist Ruben Samama to write an album as a trio. Their different musical backgrounds, spanning Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Netherlands, come together in songs inspired by the Latin American canon without being confined by tradition.

Sietepè continues the musical direction Rios explored on Flore and Playa Negra, where he moved deeper into Spanish-language songwriting and the music of his Latin American roots. Their forthcoming debut album Edad media consists of original compositions created together by the three musicians.

The Rotterdam concert marks the trio’s first tour together and is presented in an intimate seated setting at LantarenVenster.
