American singer-songwriter Renny Conti comes to V11 with a hazy mix of alt-country, folk rock and indie. His music draws on the warm, unpolished character of Neil Young’s Harvest, while adding a more restless and experimental edge.

Across his first three albums, Conti combined traditional folk songwriting with adventurous recording techniques. His fourth album, released in 2025, presents a more confident sound, allowing the songs and performances to take centre stage.

Before moving towards his current folk and country-inspired style, Conti was immersed in punk and metal as a teenager and even sang in a metal band. Traces of that background remain in the weight and intensity beneath his quieter music.

Fans of MJ Lenderman, Neil Young and Kurt Vile should find plenty to enjoy in his understated melodies, loose guitar sound and reflective songwriting.
