What to expect in 2024
The Rotterdam Architecture Month (Rotterdam Architectuur Maand) transforms the city into a hub of architectural exploration. With over 100 events already scheduled and more being added daily, residents and visitors alike are set to experience a diverse range of activities centred around architecture.
Opening ceremony on 1 June
On 1 June, the month-long event will be officially opened with a festive ceremony. Attendees can follow a special route through green gardens, visit various architectural interventions, and enjoy the art tour "Snakken naar Boijmans." The evening will culminate in a keynote lecture by Elma van Boxel from ZUS at the Henket Pavilion, discussing "Rotterdam, het Roer Radicaal om" (Rotterdam, the Radical Change).

The event features numerous tours, exhibitions, and discussions focusing on housing and construction. Notable highlights include:
- Exploring the residential history of Rotterdam Zuid
- Attending Rotterdam Convening 2024
- Diving into the Little C district
- Previewing the Merwe-Vierhaven area as it is envisioned for 2030
- Discovering bamboo as a sustainable building material
- Participating in discussions on addressing the housing crisis sustainably and affordably
The Rotterdam Dagen
Every Sunday from 2 June to 23 June, the festival's heart will focus on the Rotterdam Dagen at the Museumpark. From 13:00 to 17:00, various activities suitable for all ages will be available, providing an engaging experience for the entire family.
Route maps and family activities
Visitors can enhance their experience at the Museumpark by obtaining a route map, available for €2.50 at the RA Month Kiosk and Henket Pavilion. Rotterdampasholders can get the map for free, which includes a complimentary scavenger hunt for families with chances to win prizes such as:
